Juma Typeface
[PT]
Juma is a super display color font made to be used HUGE. Created by Brazilian lettering artist extraordinaire Cyla Costa and transformed into a typeface by the amazing Naipe Foundry, Juma is a deep exploration of shapes and served as the path to push the boundaries of our visual language at the studio. The shapes and colors of Juma remind us of natural beauties like tropical birds or a slab of marble, with its hypnotic twists and turns. On the page, Juma can work as a beautifully decorated drop cap, a striking headline, or even in abstract compositions like patterns, but outside the page and into the physical world, each individual letter has a sculptural quality to it that invites us to imagine it as an object.
Juma is playful, daring, and powerful and we're thrilled to have it in Naipe Foundry's library.
